Personnel
Marc Oldham has been working in the design field
for over a decade designing communication materials for highly visible
local and national clients. Marc has a keen eye for design, an accute attention
to detail and is deadline driven.
Marc studied graphic design, fine art and illustration while attending
Hussian School of Art in Philadelphia,
PA. Throughout college he freelanced at a local print shop named Victory Printing
Company, located in West Philadelphia. Marc's design career started with a photo-stat
machine and paste-up boards, Xacto Knives, and Rubylithe. He was able to experience
and embrace the industry-wide paradigm shift from traditional design customs
to the now digital workflow.
For more than five years Marc worked in a digital and traditional photography
studio servicing national accounts called Hone
Studio, located in Philadelphia, PA. He produced work including menus, catalogs,
cookbooks, convention panels, web sites, and web graphics.
Setting
up Macintosh workstations and administering Mac OS X servers was an essential
skill that Marc was able to develop. He was also fortunate enough to be a
central part of a software development team that created an Internet based, image
search and retrieval QuarkXPress Extension, designed for the supermarket industry
called ADAPS. Marc evaluated the functional aspects of the software package,
where his feedback directly determined how the user would ultimately experience
the software.
After departing from Hone
Studio, Marc became an independent and focused solely on Oldham Design. Marc
now entertains his own clients producing a range of work for print and interactive
communications.
Designers, illustrators, photographers, printers,
copywriters and software developers are just a small handful of people
he has been able to collaborate with. Marc has a drive for learning new
technology, designing original concepts and developing
for the worldwide web.
