Bucks County SPCA required a new and refreshed logo design with a rebranded website to establish the start of a new identity. My responsibilities were to lead the creative process for both the logo and new website.
The previous logo was dark and included only a cat and dog, while Bucks County SPCA helped many different types of animals. With an understanding of their goals and input, we created a bright, colorful, friendly logo that painted the organization in a brighter light and even included the addition of a farm animal.
For the website, my role consisted of leading the creative direction and design process, and also coding the finishing touches of the presentation layer. Leveraging the colors from the logo, duotones were applied to the photos to make them more fun and work together as a unit.
While designing the website, we had to consider the different user personas and how best to get them the information they need the fastest. We leveraged large icons for the most visited pages and featured them prominently on the home page to help quickly guide them to relevant content.
It was important to showcase the impact of how donations help Bucks County SPCA, so we designed a section to inform visitors just how many lives are saved each year thanks to their generosity.
To add interest to the headers, the use of duotones were continued throughout the internal pages.
After a successful launch of the new identity and website, Bucks County SPCA has fully embraced their new brand and have applied it consistently throughout their internal and external marketing material.
